YMCA Camp Shand is nestled on 120 acres of scenic woodland in southern Lebanon County, just 20 miles from downtown Lancaster. The camp itself is about a mile off the main highway. You might see a deer on your way in. The cabins are open sided with bunks. There are a limited number of bunks in two closed windowed cabins. We understand they've put in new shower facilities this year so we're quite excited to see the upgrades to the camp itself.

Outdoor it wooded. There's a lake. Catch and release if you like to fish. We've actually caught fish in the lake so it is stocked! THere's a lovely stream that runs through the camp. There are plenty of trails. Some are quite easy and I'm sure you can find one to really challenge you. Beach volleyball court - anyone want to act out their May - Walsh fantasies? We've always got some basketball going. And, I think we tried some 4 square one year. Or was it tetherball? There's a lot to do outside. Quiet and contemplative or rowdy and playful.
